DATA PROTECTION NOTICE

This Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) sets out how Jeryk EC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal data in accordance with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). This Notice applies to personal data in our possession or under our control, including personal data handled by third parties engaged in providing services on our behalf.

  • Student / Customer: Any individual who contacts us to inquire about, enrols in, or participates in any courses, programs, or services offered by Jeryk EC & Education.
  • Personal Data: Any information that can identify a student or customer, either on its own or when combined with other information in our possession.

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect personal data including, but not limited to:

Other terms used in this Notice have the meanings given to them in the PDPA where applicable.

CONSENT AND WITHDRAWAL

You may withdraw consent at any time by submitting a written request to our Data Protection Officer (DPO). Withdrawal may affect our ability to provide certain services.

Withdrawal does not affect collection, use, or disclosure permitted or required by law without consent.

SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, or loss.

No security system is completely infallible; you acknowledge the inherent risks.

ACCESS, CORRECTION, AND RETENTION

You may request access to or correction of your personal data by contacting our DPO. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests and will respond within 30 days.

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined or as required by law, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised.

CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER

Some third-party service providers or data storage systems may be outside Malaysia. We ensure comparable data protection standards are maintained when transferring personal data overseas.

DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION

In the event of a data breach, we will promptly investigate and take appropriate measures. Where required by law, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner (PDPC) and affected individuals.
